Substantial jewelry, made by hand, made to last.
Alegant began with a question: why does statement jewelry have to feel costume?
Founded in 2021 in a small studio in Tribeca, New York, Alegant was built on a belief that bold jewelry deserves the same craftsmanship as the quietest piece in a fine collection. Our pieces are unmistakably present — substantial in weight, sculptural in form — but never loud.
We work in solid sterling silver, 14k recycled gold, and 18k gold vermeil. Never plated brass dressed up to look like more. The materials are honest, and so is the work.
Every piece passes through a single artisan's hands from start to finish.
Each Alegant piece begins as a sketch by our founder Léa, is hand-carved in wax, cast in our New York atelier, then polished, finished, and quality- checked by a single artisan. We don't outsource. We don't mass produce.
This is slow work, and we've built our business around accepting that. Pieces are released in small batches, often numbered. When a piece sells out, it may return — but only when the next batch is ready.
Three principles that shape every piece we make.
I.
Material Honesty
Solid metals, recycled where possible, never plated brass disguised as more. What you feel is what it is.
II.
Considered Form
Bold doesn't mean busy. Every line and weight is deliberate, designed to be worn daily and still feel intentional.
III.
Built to Inherit
We make pieces meant for decades, not seasons. Every Alegant comes with a lifetime guarantee from our atelier.
How to care for your Alegant pieces.
Store pieces individually in the linen pouch they arrive in. Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, and chlorine. To clean, gently polish with the included microfiber cloth — solid pieces can also be cleaned with warm water and mild soap.
Should anything ever feel off — a clasp that needs tightening, a finish that needs restoring — write to us. We'll service it free, for life.
